We have a Lincoln autolube that the top screws off, what is the best way to fill it, buy some grease bulk? Is there an easy way to push in 6 or so grease cartridges? Does it matter what grease you run through it. We normally use a polyurea. Plow79

We have a 5 gallon pail of "zero" grease. With a hand pump, and a 4 foot hose with a female quick coupler. There should be a male quick coupler right under your greaser. Do not unscrew the lid to pour grease in. You have an 860 if I remember correctly? Big Ben

Yes, there is a quick way to push six tubes in. Lincoln makes a tool to do that. Claas dealers should be familiar with them.

Grease does matter. JD polyurea is NOT a good choice for use in a SPFH autoluber. We run white JD grease, I don't remember what it's called.

We have an 850 yes, the grease in there is red and more liquid looking. Billyfox

We have used the hose and pump that our dealer supplied up until last year. You end up with part buckets of grease laying around. Last year I pulled the tin off around the spout and cleaned out all my grease buckets into the top of the autoluber. Worked great. Filled it this spring the same way.
Takes a couple minutes to pull the tin but less time than pumping away on the bucket.

I've been meaning to text you to see how everything's been going with that 850 of yours. Hope all is well.

Ben is correct. The thing looks like a cross between a grease gun and oversized syringe. Puts tubes of grease in the autoluber as fast as you can load and push the handle. Keeps it cleaner than taking the top off as well. matterhan

What Big Ben said. Get the tube pusher. Can put in 5-6 tubes in a few minutes. I would be worried about contamination taking the top off and "spooning" the grease into it. sbosmt

Just getting it ready to roll again, but we have been happy with it, thanks again for all your help. Is there any particular grease you like for it? Hay Hud Ohio

Mitchco can tell you all about the autolubers as he sees dozens of them at work, but one thing is for sure, you don't want ANY specks of dirt /contamination/debris inside those things, it will not turn out well..... farmhard

I use Chevron black pearl. I'm no expert on grease but sems to flow well and no issues over ten years /35,000 bales. Fills a lot faster if the grease is warm.

I'll attach a pic of the filler.

We use Conco Phillips Mega Flow XD5. Flows good in cold weather and won't set up in off season. Have run Lincoln Autolubers since 2003 and have this Conco has been about the best. We blow a couple tubes in with a Milwaukee or Alemite battery power grease gun.
